The manufacture of Murano glass was already known in the ancient Rome.

Through this technique, ability and good taste create compositions of polychrome glass canes, multiflowered or 'murrino' canes (that is canes that display in section colours and different designs) that once melted create different shapes becoming pendants, bracelets, heardrops or bowls that ages ago were realized in the Roman or Alexandrine furnaces.

Even nowadays the techniques are the same used by the ancients in their furnaces, disappeared or forgotten techniques for several ages. Only in the nineteenth century thanks to the great masters of that period - Franchini, Moretti, Barovier; - these working processes have been recreated and handed on up to nowadays.
